What is SCROOMS?

SCROOMS is a free Roblox game about taming mushroom creatures with music. You equip an instrument, play near a Scroom to draw it in, tune to its frequency and then keep it inside a moving catch zone until the progress bar fills. Catches go into your Index and sell for Chimes, and Chimes buy better instruments that reach rarer Scrooms in new areas. If you have played Fisch, the loop will feel familiar: instruments replace rods, and a Scroom's frequency in Hz plays the role of a fish's weight.

The game is published by the Roblox group SCROOMS and credited to developer DoniDevs. It went public on October 10, 2026. When we read its Roblox data on October 24, 2026, it had about 2.03 million visits, 33,800 favorites and a 90% like rate from about 13,700 votes, with roughly 5,500 people playing. Each server holds up to 15 players. These numbers come from Roblox's public game data and change constantly.

SCROOMS runs in the Roblox app, not inside a web page. The Play button here opens the official Roblox listing. Browser Game Hub is not affiliated with the developer or with Roblox.

How to Play SCROOMS

  1. 1Open the official SCROOMS page on roblox.com and press Play. You spawn in Songkeeper's Grove, the starting area.
  2. 2Follow the green arrow to Leo near the spawn and accept his gift, the Wooden Lute. His opening quest, Getting Started!, teaches the catch and pays 1,350 XP and 125 Chimes.
  3. 3Equip your instrument from the hotbar and play near a Scroom. Hit the timing circle (aim for Perfect), then hold to slide the tuner onto the Scroom's frequency.
  4. 4In the catch mini-game, keep the Scroom inside the moving catch zone. Progress fills while it stays inside and drains when it slips out. A full bar is a catch; a Perfect Catch gives extra XP.
  5. 5Sell catches to Julian, the merchant in the grove, for Chimes. Sell Held sells the Scroom in your hand; Sell Inventory sells everything except favorited Scrooms.
  6. 6Buy a better instrument from Jane's stall (the Tamer's Guitar costs 100 Chimes), then equip it from the Instruments tab of your Equipment Bag. Buying does not equip it.
  7. 7Find Leo's uncle Halden by the campfire and pay respects at the five Weathered Statues to earn the Ocarina. At level 25, return to Halden and race Shax for the Songtreads, the boots that get you into Bluestone Caverns.

What Each Instrument Stat Does

StatWhat it doesFisch equivalent
PrecisionWidens the catch zone, so the Scroom is easier to keep insideControl
HarmonySteadies the catch zone so it darts around lessResilience
TensionTightens the line so the Scroom follows your marker more closelyNone
LuckRaises the chance of rarer ScroomsLuck
Tune SpeedShortens the tuning step before the catch startsLure speed
ResonanceSets the highest frequency (Hz) the instrument reaches; a Scroom whose range starts above it never appears for youMax weight

Every instrument card in the Equipment Bag lists these six stats, and hovering over a stat in game shows its description. Meanings match the in-game tooltips as shown by AllThings. How and Beebzs's guide video (October 11-12, 2026).

SCROOMS Guides

SCROOMS Codes (October 2026)

There are no SCROOMS codes. The game has no code redemption box and the developer has never released a code, so there are no active or expired codes to list. Destructoid (October 22, 2026), TechWiser (October 11) and Pro Game Guides report the same, and Destructoid and Pro Game Guides say the official Discord has indicated that codes aren't planned.

If codes ever arrive, the SCROOMS Discord (discord.gg/scrooms) will announce them first. Pages or videos that promise SCROOMS codes, free Chimes or instrument generators are not official, and you should never enter your Roblox password on them.

Free boosts you can get without codes: catch the Fortune's Favor Songsheet (+13% Luck when played on the Ocarina), play during a Pale Moon for doubled tone odds, and finish quests for XP and Chimes.

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE For SCROOMS Roblox... by Beebzs on YouTube. Not affiliated with this site or the developer.

It takes Fisch's proven catch-sell-upgrade loop and gives it a new theme: instruments and singing mushrooms instead of rods and fish, with a tuning step and a catch mini-game you get better at.

Collecting runs deep. Five areas hold 61 Scrooms across six rarities, and each one has tone variants, so finishing an Index takes real hunting.

Exploration matters. Ocarina songs open sealed doors, the Songtreads let you jump to new areas, and every area has quest-givers with small stories and instrument rewards.

Quick Start Tips for Beginners

  • Start every quest you pass, even if you can't finish it yet. Many just want a specific Scroom, and you'll catch it while grinding anyway.
  • Practise for Perfects. They add XP to every catch, and level 25 is the gate to the second area.
  • Check a Scroom's Index range before hunting it. If it starts above your instrument's Resonance, it will never appear.
  • Favorite rare Scrooms or turn off their rarity in the Sell Inventory settings before selling everything to Julian.
  • Set your spawn near where you farm, then play Homeward Melody (A S W A on the Ocarina) to get back when your bag is full.
  • Skip the instruments in Sorin's Respite and save for Sanctum Magus, unless you collect every instrument.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are there any SCROOMS codes?

No. As of October 24, 2026 SCROOMS has no code redemption box and the developer has never released a code. Sites that list working codes for it are listing codes for other games or making them up. Free boosts instead: the Fortune's Favor Songsheet adds 13% Luck on the Ocarina, a Pale Moon doubles tone odds, and quests pay XP and Chimes.

When did SCROOMS come out?

SCROOMS went public on Roblox on October 10, 2026. The Roblox experience was created in June 2026 and tested before launch.

Who made SCROOMS?

SCROOMS is credited to developer DoniDevs and published on Roblox by the SCROOMS group, which had about 8,000 members on October 24, 2026.

Is SCROOMS free to play?

Yes. The game is free on Roblox. The Store sells optional Server Luck boosts, convenience passes, cosmetic bundles and Chime packs for Robux.

Is SCROOMS like Fisch?

Yes, the loop is close: you tune to a Scroom's frequency like casting, keep it in a moving zone like reeling, sell catches and buy better gear. Instruments replace rods, and a Scroom's Hz plays the role of a fish's weight.

How do you get the Ocarina in SCROOMS?

Talk to Halden, Leo's uncle, at the campfire in Songkeeper's Grove to start The Next Step, use Pay Respects at all five Weathered Statues, then go back to him. The Ocarina takes hotbar slot five and plays songs such as Homeward Melody, which returns you to your spawn.

Is there a SCROOMS Discord, Trello or wiki?

The official community is the SCROOMS Discord (discord.gg/scrooms) and the SCROOMS group on Roblox. Destructoid reports there is no official Trello board or wiki; wikis such as the SCROOMS Fandom wiki are written by players.

Can you use a macro in SCROOMS?

SCROOMS has no built-in auto-catch. Third-party macro programs that play the catch mini-game for you exist, but they run outside Roblox and need extra software installed, which puts your account and computer at risk. We don't recommend them.

When is the next SCROOMS update?

The game's official Roblox event, The Undergarden ("Beneath the Grove..."), runs from October 24, 2026 at 18:00 UTC to October 25 at 20:00 UTC and is listed as new content.

How many players are in a SCROOMS server?

Up to 15 players per server, according to the game's Roblox settings.
