SCROOMS Areas: How to Unlock Every Area and Get the Songtreads

SCROOMS has five areas, opened one after another by levels, quests and Ocarina songs. The first wall is level 25: that is when Shax will race you for the Songtreads, the speed boots you need to jump into Bluestone Caverns.

The Songtreads only work while equipped: open your backpack with G and select them (the first tile, marked Core Item), and select them again after you take out another item. At the cave mouth at the end of Bluestone Approach, run at full speed and press Space at the edge. Clearing the gap completes Beyond the Grove for 2,925 XP and 500 Chimes.

Most players stop early. Roblox's badge counts on October 24, 2026 show that about 1 in 5 players who joined had unlocked the Songtreads, and about 1 in 100 had completed the Tall Trees Index.

Making Chimes Fast

How to make Chimes fast

Chimes come from selling Scrooms to Julian and from quest rewards. Early quests pay well for the time: Getting Started! gives 125 Chimes, Halden's Tamer in Training 350, Beekeeper's Request 450 and Beyond the Grove (entering Bluestone Caverns) 500. Pick up every quest you pass; most just ask you to catch a Scroom and hand it over while holding it.

Aim for Perfect on every timing circle and every catch. Perfect Catches give about 50% more XP, and more levels open more quests; level 25 is the gate to the second area. Beebzs also reports that Perfect hits improve your odds of rarer Scrooms.

Upgrade instruments as soon as you can afford them: more Luck and Resonance mean rarer, higher-Hz Scrooms that sell for more. The Fandom wiki rates the Soaring Tone and the Magus' Requiem as the best Chime farmers before Tall Trees.

Before using Sell Inventory, open Settings → Sell Inventory and untick the rarities you want to keep, or favorite the Scroom. Favorited Scrooms are never sold, so you won't sell one a quest still needs.

How do you get the speed boots (Songtreads) in SCROOMS?

Reach level 25 and return to Halden to finish Tamer in Training. Then find Shax, who runs along the cliff path near the Grove Lift, and beat him in a race (A Leg Up, then Quick on Your Feet). He gives you the Songtreads. They can't be bought.

How do you get into Bluestone Caverns?

Equip the Songtreads, follow Bluestone Approach out of Songkeeper's Grove to the ledge facing the glowing blue cave, take a run-up and jump the gap. You can't clear it at normal speed.

How do you get the double jump in SCROOMS?

In Sanctum Magus, finish Ria's quest and the follow-up quest up the stairs (around levels 70-75), then race Shax a second time. He is much faster this time. Winning gives the Songtreads a double jump, which you need to reach Tall Trees.
