Steal An Egg Fishing: Rod, Ghost Fish and Manor Key

Updated

Fishing arrived with the Halloween event. The Haunted Rod catches Candy Corn, eggs and the Eternal Ghost Fish in the Haunted Swamp, and in Halloween Part 2 it fishes the Manor Key out of a secret cave below the Forgotten Town.

The Manor Key opens the Abandoned Manor, where two players can fuse the Divine Cursed Monarch. Cross-checked across Hold To Reset, Lootester, Nerd'sChalk, STEAL EGG and 9to5Gaming on October 25, 2026.

Fishing Guide

How to get a fishing rod

The only rod is the Haunted Rod from the Halloween Dimension. Finish Echo's Memories (return the ghost dog's four lost items) and he takes you to the Ghost Fisherman on the Haunted Swamp pier, who hands it over. Cast from the glowing spot on the pier: hold to charge, then release toward the ripples.

Your first cast starts the underwater course that pays out the Phantom Express ticket. After that, every cast is ordinary fishing.

How to get the Ghost Fish

The Ghost Fish is an Eternal pet that you catch by fishing with the Haunted Rod. You don't need the Manor Key for it: it is in the Haunted Swamp fishing pool. Community catalogues put its base income at up to $3B per second.

Keep two if you can: the Cursed Monarch fusion in the Abandoned Manor needs 2 Ghost Fish.

How to get the Manor Key

You need the Haunted Rod and the Phantom Express ticket. Ride the Phantom Express (every 30 minutes, at :00 and :30) to the Forgotten Town.

From the drop-off, head past the big central tree to the lake at the dead end and jump into the glowing green whirlpool. It takes you to the Secret Fishing Area, a cavern with a wooden dock and an NPC called Gus, who lost the Manor Key in the water.

Cast around Gus and click fast when the prompt appears. Keep fishing until the Manor Key comes up; it often takes several casts. Lootester notes the key only comes from the pond below the whirlpool, and a full hotbar can stop it from landing.

Take the big green sewer pipe in the cavern to reach the manor entrance and press E on the chained Manor Door. It unlocks once and stays open for the rest of the event.

Cursed Monarch fusion

Inside the Abandoned Manor is an altar room with four pedestals. Place 2 Ghost Fish (Eternal) and 2 Voidseer Pumpkins (Divine) on them to fuse a Cursed Monarch egg, a Divine pet. Other pumpkin pets don't count.

The fusion needs two players, so team up; one Ghost Fish and one Voidseer Pumpkin each is the easiest split. Voidseer Pumpkins come from the Abandoned Manor eggs and are among the rarest Halloween pets, so they are usually the hard part.
