MW4 DMZ Exfil: How to Extract From Hajin

A DMZ run only counts if you exfil. The standard way out is an exfil site: Activision's guide says sites are switched on from a pool of locations across Hajin and marked by green smoke. Call in the Twin Heli, hold the area while enemies push in, and board to finish the deployment. You can also leave by Fulton balloon or exfil flare.

The clock is the radiation storm. Time Remaining on your HUD shows when the storm will intensify, and the Tac-Map shows the radiation spreading. Exfil sites are fixed in a pool but not all active at once, so there's no single map of exfils to memorise: read the Tac-Map each run.

Exfil Tips and Open Questions

How to exfil safely

Clear the exfil area before you call the helicopter. Calling it makes noise for nearby players and AI, and Activision warns that squads use exfil sites as ambush points.

If you pick up a Lieutenant's Dog Tag Case, your position is broadcast to every squad. Head for the nearest exfil straight away rather than finishing your loot route.

Before you leave the FOB, put a Medium Backpack in your Loadout: it has Secure Slots, and anything in them survives a failed run.

Watch Time Remaining. When the radiation storm intensifies, the map gets more hostile; Activision's advice is to find an exfil point before that happens.

How long the helicopter takes

allthings.how reports three random exfil zones per match, with the ones closest to the radiation shutting down first, and a helicopter that landed a little under a minute after the call in its run. Plan on holding the site for about a minute, and pick the exfil farthest from the radiation when you have the choice.
