Krillion Tips: How to Find Rarer Answers
Updated
Krillion rewards the answer nobody else thought of, but only if the game accepts it before the 25-second clock runs out. These tips come from our own dives, not from a list of daily answers: Krillion does not publish its answer sheets, and we don't post spoilers.
Our first dive scored 170 points. For the second we followed the method below and scored 440, better than 96% of that day's players. Both dives are written out in full, with the tier for every answer and how many other players gave it.

Where to Find Rarer Answers
Brands and companies
Everyone says
The example in the prompt · The market leader · Whatever you used last
Try instead
Regional chains, boutique or luxury sub-brands owned by a big group, and brands from other countries that are still well known at home.
Countries and places
Everyone says
The largest or most famous one · Your own country · The one in the news
Try instead
Small or landlocked countries, island nations, places with tricky spellings, and the second or third city of a country rather than its capital.
Animals and nature
Everyone says
Pets and farm animals · The example in the prompt · The first zoo animal you think of
Try instead
Specific species instead of the general group, deep-sea and insect life, and proper anatomy terms instead of everyday words.
Everyday objects and clothing
Everyone says
The item you are wearing · The generic word for the category
Try instead
Specialist or historical versions, items named after a place or person, and the trade name for something people usually describe loosely.
Work, apps and online features
Everyone says
The prompt's own example · The biggest app in the space · The button you click most
Try instead
Back-office teams and job functions, older or niche services, and settings or features buried in menus.

Krillion Strategy: Our Dives, Answer by Answer
We played two daily dives and wrote down every result. The player counts come from the game's own results screen, which shows how many other players gave the same answer; the counts keep growing through the day, so they are a snapshot from when we finished.
Dive #89 (October 12, 2026): 170 points, 1,700 m
Our first dive, played on instinct. One typo cost a whole round. Final result: better than 6% of that day's players.

| Name a feature on YouTube | Super Chat | 719 | Schooler | 30 |
Dive #99 (October 22, 2026): 440 points, 4,400 m
Our second dive, played with the method on this page: skip the first idea, then reach for a specific or technical term we were sure how to spell. No misses. Final result: better than 96% of that day's players. Counts recorded about 10 hours after the reset.
| Prompt | Our answer | Others | Tier | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Name a character from Attack on Titan, One Piece or Naruto | Kakuzu | 1,166 | Rare | 60 |
| Name a job with median annual pay over $100,000 in the US | Actuary | 22,322 | Rare | 60 |

| Name a country with a five-letter English name | Gabon | 23,351 | Deep Cut | 85 |

What These Dives Teach
- How many players chose an answer does not decide its tier. Gabon was shared by 23,351 other players and still scored Deep Cut (85), while Super Chat was shared by only 719 and scored Schooler (30). Tiers come from the developer's familiarity data, set before the day starts, not from today's votes.
- Specialist vocabulary pays. Xylography, Eutrophication and Actuary are everyday words in one field and rare in general writing, and all three landed Rare or better. Each prompt's second or third idea from a specific field beat its first idea from everyday life.
- The obvious answer next to the prompt is usually Plankton. Glassdoor sits right beside the prompt's own example, LinkedIn, and Gills is the textbook answer to the animal prompt; both scored 10.
- A miss costs more than a low tier. Dive #89 lost a whole round to one typo, and its six answered rounds averaged 28 points. Dive #99 had no misses and averaged about 63 points a round. Pick words you can spell under time pressure.
- Two dives are a small sample, so treat these as patterns to test rather than rules. We will add dives to this table as we play them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a less popular answer always score higher in Krillion?
No. Tiers are set in advance from the developer's familiarity data, not from how many players chose an answer that day. In our dives, Gabon was shared by 23,351 other players and scored Deep Cut, while Super Chat was shared by 719 and scored Schooler.
Is it better to give a safe answer or skip in Krillion?
Give a safe answer. Even Plankton is worth 10 points and 100 metres, while a missed or timed-out prompt scores 0. If your rare idea is hard to spell, type a safer word with time to spare.
Are there Krillion answers for today?
Krillion doesn't publish its answer sheets, and sites listing "today's answers" can't know the tiers in advance. After you finish, the results screen shows how many other players gave each of your answers.
