Friday Fighters Characters: All 40 Fighters and Their Moves

Updated

Friday Fighters has 40 fighters: 15 from Friday (1995), 14 from Next Friday (2000) and 11 from Friday After Next (2002). Craig, Deebo, Day-Day, Uncle Elroy, Mr. Jones and Pinky appear in more than one film, and each version has different moves. All 40 are open from the start; the ? button under the grid picks one at random.

Every fighter uses the same buttons: a Special (H), a signature move (forward + heavy kick), two Supers (T and Y, one bar each), a cinematic Ultra (T + Y) and a throwable item with four uses per round. Type a name, film or move into the search box to filter the table.

Signature Moves and Who to Pick

Signature move types

Every fighter's signature move (forward + heavy kick) has a type. The official guide's advice is that parries and armored moves beat players who press buttons carelessly.

Parry, which catches an attack and counters: Craig (1995), Stanley, Day-Day (2002), Cookie. Armor, which keeps going through normal and Special hits: Craig (2000), Deebo (2000), Baby D, Damon.

Low: Deebo (1995), Mr. Parker, Lil Chris, Roach, Uncle Elroy (2000), Chico, Money Mike, Robber Santa, Donna. Overhead: Pastor Clever, Red, Debbie, Pinky (2000), Karla, Craig (2002), Mr. Jones (2002).

Free throw, a projectile on the signature button: Big Worm, Mrs. Parker, Mr. Jones (2000), Pinky (2002). Meter gain: Smokey, Uncle Elroy (2002). Slows the opponent: Ezal, Suga, Tyrone, Ms. Pearly. Crew call-ins: Joker, Baby Joker. Dash: Felisha, Day-Day (2000). Pull: Mr. Jones (1995). Wall bounce: Joi.

Which fighter to start with

This is our suggestion, not an official ranking. Start with Craig (1995): his Special is a straightforward strike, his parry signature teaches you to answer attacks, and Story mode has you play Craig in all 12 chapters anyway.

Pick Deebo (1995 or 2000) if you like to grab: his grab takes up to a full bar of the opponent's meter, so they lose Supers as well as health. Pick Craig (2000), Baby D or Damon for an armored signature that powers through button-mashing. Pick Big Worm or Mrs. Parker to keep opponents away, since their signature is a projectile on top of their four throwables.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to unlock characters in Friday Fighters?

No. All 40 fighters are on the character select screen from your first visit. Only Story mode chapters open one at a time, as you win each fight.

Who is the best character in Friday Fighters?

There is no official tier list. Fighters differ mainly in their signature move and Supers. Deebo's grab steals up to a bar of meter, and armored signatures (Craig 2000, Deebo 2000, Baby D, Damon) beat opponents who attack carelessly. For a first fighter we suggest Craig (1995).

Can I choose any sidekick for any fighter?

Yes. After you pick a fighter, the game asks you to choose a sidekick and marks that fighter's usual partner as DEFAULT, but you can pick another one. In 2 vs 2, your partner takes the sidekick's place.
