Clover RPG Races: Chances, Perks and the Best Race

Updated

Your race is rolled when you create your character and gives passive perks for the rest of the game. About half of all rolls are Human, and the two rarest races, Lesser Angel and Lesser Demon, each come up 1–2% of the time.

Below: every race and its perks, which race to aim for, and how to reroll. A wipe does not change your race.

Best Race and Rerolls

Which race is best?

Pro Game Guides and cloverrpgwiki.wiki both rank Lesser Angel and Lesser Demon in S tier and Human last, and MrGuider also puts Lesser Demon first. Human's only perk is a 15% better selling price, and the Bargain Master trait gives you the same bonus for 3 Points.

For magic builds, Elf (15% cheaper spells, +20 Energy) and Dark Elf (+5% spell damage, +10% mana regen) are the realistic targets at 20% and 10%. For melee builds, Eldritch adds physical damage, health and Resolve. Lesser Demon's stacking +25% physical damage rewards clean melee play, and Lesser Angel's once-per-life lethal save and magic resistance suit any build.

How to reroll your race

Race Rerolls come from the main-menu shop (Robux), the Essence tab of the in-game Shop, trading with other players and, rarely, as a drop from Gladiator matches.

A Race Reroll bought from the main menu can't be traded. Rerolls bought in game cost more but can be traded.

Wiping your character does not reset your race: a wipe keeps your race and family. Some races also roll a visual variant, which is cosmetic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best race in Clover RPG?

Lesser Angel and Lesser Demon, the two 1–2% races. Of the common races, Elf and Dark Elf suit magic builds and Eldritch suits melee. Human, whose only perk is a better selling price, ranks last.

How do you get race rerolls in Clover RPG?

Buy them in the main-menu shop with Robux, buy them with Essence in the in-game Shop, trade for them, or get a lucky drop from a Gladiator match.

Does wiping change your race in Clover RPG?

No. Wiping your character keeps your race and family; only a Race Reroll changes it.
