Clover RPG Leveling Guide: Stats, Proficiency and Traits
Updated
Clover RPG has three progression tracks besides your level: stat points, weapon proficiency with your weapon class, and traits, passive perks you unlock with Points once your stats or quests qualify.
Below: the fastest way to level, what each stat does, how proficiency and trainers work, and all 43 traits. The traits table is searchable, so type a stat such as Strength to see what it unlocks.

Leveling and Proficiency
How to level up fast
Finish the Kamo main quest chain first: it hands out stat points, your first skill token and the mission system. Then press U and run missions from the Mission Bird until your mission tickets run out; F-Rank missions start at the Kamo Guild Hall, and the Mushroom Region's mission board has Rank D missions.
Fill the gaps with the Kamo side quests on the main guide. At level 8, take the Weapons Expert trait (1 Point) to gain weapon proficiency 50% faster.
Builderboy TV's beginner guide shows fast travel unlocking after the quest in Jukai Village, north of Kamo on the map.
Weapon proficiency and trainers
Weapons come in three classes, Light, Medium and Heavy, and you gain proficiency by hitting enemies with that class. When the bar is full, visit that class's weapon trainer. Each upgrade costs 15 Insight, 2 stat points and some Marks, and the trainer unlocks weapon skills and passives.
Proficiency normally stops at level 3. To go further you need Percival's Recommendation, and using it locks you into one weapon class. The maximum is level 10.
Resetting stats, death and wipes
Reset your stats at the Lady of the Lake in the Great Mushroom Forest by choosing Gift of Renewal; it costs Insight and/or Marks.
Death is not permanent, but you drop some items; the Pick-Me-Up trait (level 21) cuts the loss by 40%.
A wipe resets your character but keeps your race and family, and from level 15 you can choose to keep your Grimoire.
